One of the reasons that make the square pole magnetic chuck extremely versatile is the possibility to apply pole extensions to the clamping surface in a simple and effective way.<\/p>\n

This mechanical device allows to transmit the magnetic flux in the desired area while the workpiece is lifted from the surface of the magnetic chuck allowing operations such as contouring, drilling, chamfering, etc.., without damaging the magnetic surface of the chuck.<\/p>\n

Both in the fixed and in the flexible version, the pole extensions are produced designed in soft steel with high magnetic permeability to allow an excellent flux transmission from the chuck to the clamping surface.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>

FIXED EXTENSIONS FOR PERFECT WORK-PIECE SUPPORT.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fixed pole extensions, available in various sizes and equipped with screws, ensure a precise support of the work-piece on the surface of the magnetic module. This makes it perfect for processing machining smooth or preprocessed machined work-pieces.<\/p>\n

They significantly improve the operating space for the machine, for example in the case of contouring and through-hole drilling operations. The extension is designed to ensure that the flux transmission from floor the chuck to the clamping surface takes place with minimum loss<\/strong><\/em>, to thus ensuring the safe clamping even of more complex work-pieces.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>

FLEXIBLE EXTENSIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

The flexible pole extensions, consisting of a lower part fixed to the poles and a sliding upper part, allow to adapt the height of the working surface of the chuck compensating for any deformation of the work-piece (automatic thickness adjustment<\/strong><\/em>).<\/p>\n

When, for example, a raw and deformed (bent) plate has to be levelled, the magnetic clamping force would tend to straighten it and consequently, once the\u00a0work has been completed and the slab plate demagnetised, there would be an elastic return effect, that would not allow the elimination of the deformation.<\/p>\n

By means of flexible extensions it is possible to adapt to the deformation of the plate, to clamp it during the first levelling phase and, once rotated for the second machining, to obtain an excellent flat surface<\/em><\/strong>. It is important for the plate to always rest on at least three suitably established fixed points, which will act as a constant reference point for the work surface.<\/p>\n

EASYTURN POLE EXTENSIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

For vertical and horizontal self-levelling use. Thanks to the modular construction, the magnetic attraction force can be directed along the horizontal or vertical axis, depending on how the work-piece is clamped.<\/p>\n

This versatility in changing the axis<\/em><\/strong> in both directions is made possible by a combination of a fixed base, an intermediate element containing the spring, and an upper component that can be removed by hand and easily swivelled in two positions.<\/p>\n

Depending on the positioning, the movable upper part adapts horizontally or vertically to the work-piece.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>

POLE PLATES<\/strong><\/p>\n

The square or parallel pole chucks plates are useful when the clamping surface requires contouring or variation of the pole pitch (parallel pole magnets) and prevent furthermore the chuck from chip wear.<\/p>\n

They are available in various sizes and formats, for better adaptability to standard magnetic chucks, but can also be supplied in special sizes.<\/p>\n

Suitable for MFR-50- A1\/A2 chucks<\/em><\/strong>, K56 series<\/strong><\/em>, and MFL -030-A1<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>
